Restaurant Philosophy:
We never actually had a philosophy.
The View is a restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views over Sofia, modern interior, exquisite atmosphere and an incredible menu. Its team is large and gained a lot of experience while working at different prestigious restaurants around the world. We only use high quality products in our dishes, which is the secret for their unparalleled taste.

What are you most proud of in your restaurant?
The View is the winner of Best New Restaurant in Sofia at #GoAwards for 2017 and finalist in the Public Interior Design category of Dibla Design Awards. In July 2018 was the first anniversary since The View Restaurant opened its doors to our clients. For that time The View became known for a great place for meetings with friends and loved ones, for family and corporate lunches and dinners as well as organized events from business breakfasts to cocktails for 400 people. We are proud that the realized events are several hundred – the restaurant welcomed as many clients as the whole population of Iceland! Fourteen couples decided to become a family at The View and several already had their weddings there. We are proud that we can be next to our clients in their happiest moments and that they choose exactly us to spend their most memorable days and evenings at The View.

What makes you stand out from others?
As the name suggests, the unique view over Sofia. At a height of 85.2 meters, The View is the restaurant at the highest location in Bulgaria and allows the visitors to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view that reveals the city’s beauty. In addition to that, we are different because we offer several possibilities to enjoy the view over the day –from tasty breakfast starting from 7:30 in week days, from various buffet lunch offers on week days, to the fantastic a la carte menu, that could be tasted for dinner and on weekends as well as evening cocktails on the open-air terraces until 2 am in the summer months.

Chefs profiles:
Ilian worked as a cook for many years. He gained a lot of experience while he worked in England, where he mastered the British and the Asian cuisine. He likes to prepare traditional Bulgarian dishes. His philosophy is to use only high quality and fresh products in his dishes. Iliyan specialized at the prestigious culinary school Le Cordon Bleu Paris​.

Kaloyan began his career in one of the Happy Bar and Grill restaurants in Sofia. He continued his developmeni in Ivan Manchev’s restaurant and in Holliday Inn, where he reached the Junior Sous-chef position under the mentorship of Lars Augusten. After that, he joined the team at Roberto’s restaurant in Hilton Amsterdam. Between 2015 and 2017 he specialized in traditional Italian cuisine under the guidance of chef Franz Conde and his team. His favorite cuisine – Bulgarian, Italian and Asian. He specialized at the prestigious culinary school Le Cordon Bleu Paris​.
